Grand Valley Fortifiers

Victoria (Seip) Eisses completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at the University of Guelph in 2016. In 2018 she completed her Masters degree in Epidemiology in the Department of Population Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College under the guidance of Dr. Robert Friendship and Dr. Vahab Farzan. Her thesis focused on novel ways to improve nursery pig performance. Prior to and during her academic career, she worked in different areas of the swine industry, focusing on animal production and livestock feed.

Following graduate studies, Victoria started working for Grand Valley Fortifiers as a Swine Production Improvement Specialist, helping producers improve performance and profitability. Her main focus has been on creating budgets and strategies associated with improving nursery and finishing performance and profitability. More recently, Victoria has taken a greater focus in working with different sources and tools for On-Farm Business Intelligence to try and help livestock producers have a better understanding of their production and bottom line.

In her spare time, Victoria helps her husband Andrew on their dairy farm in Innisfil, Ontario as well as managing their small herd of Speckle Park.  She also spends time competing with her mare in Reined Cow Horse and Cutting.
