Mildred Haley


Mildred Haley is the primary swine economist at the USDA’s Economic Research Service (ERS) where she is responsible for short and long term situation and outlook analysis for the U.S. and international hog and pork sectors. Her forecasts for U.S. quarterly hog and pork supply, demand and prices are largely incorporated and published in USDA’s monthly World Agricultural Demand and Supply Estimates. She coordinates and writes the pork/hog section of ERS’s Livestock, Dairy and Poultry Monthly Outlook report. She holds an MS and a Agricultural Economics from Purdue University.
