Jessica Bickle
Scott Nyenhuis and Jessica Bickle began their farming journey in 2011, when they purchased their first farm in Grey county. The following year, they built a 275 head organic sow barn, and by 2019 they expanded it to become organic farrow to finish. In 2021, after a disease outbreak, and market interruptions, they pivoted their business to become 600 sows farrow to wean. They have recently expanded their operation to include in-house sow multiplication, and have renovated their gestating barn to include electronic sow feeders; meeting all loose sow housing requirements.
Jessica is a University of Guelph graduate, and worked in the agronomy sector prior to working full time on the farm.
They have 3 children, Nathan, Ryan, and Grace, who can be found helping out in the barns when they are not playing hockey or figure skating.
